Ronald Antonio "Ronnie" O'Sullivan (born December 5,1975 in Wordsley,West Midlands)nicknamed "The Rocket" (or more recently "Mr.147") due to his rapid playing style,is an English professional snooker player,and the reigning 888.com Snooker World Champion.He has been World Champion on three occasions (2001,2004 and 2008) and is second on the all time prize money list with career earnings of around £5.8 million.
O'Sullivan is considered by his fans,critics,and by many of his fellow professionals such as Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry as the most naturally talented player in the history of the game.He has also been involved in a number of controversial incidents during his career,being a popular figure for many British tabloids.

O'sullivan made his first century when he was 10 years old.At 15 yr 98 days he became the youngest player ever to make a maximum in tournament play,during the english amateur championship (southern area) at aldershot,hants on 13 mar 1991.Seven years later he made a maximum in just 5 min 20 seconds in the 1997 embassy world championship.
He holds the record for most maximums in professional competition with nine.
He has won 39 titles in all (from 55 finals),his most important being the 2001 embassy world championship,the 2004 embassy world championship and the 2008 888.com world championship.the 1993 uk win made him the youngest ever winner of a ranking event,at 17 yr 11 mn.

In 1993 he won the wbsa young player of the year award and the following year he was named player of the year.
